Ecological Considerations of Reclaimed Lakes in Central Floridas Phosphate Region. Volume 2.

03-018-030Final

Two field programs were conducted to determine the physical characteristics of reclaimed and natural lakes. Lake morphometric features were determined from bathymetric surveys and aerial photos. Lake hydrologic characteristics were calculated from regional climatic data and by continuous monitoring of lake water levels for 1 year. The methods used to collect data and calculate physical parameters are discussed in the following sections. Values for each physical parameter may represent a mean which was calculated with the use of SAS (Statistical Analysis System) programs. Since these data were used for multiple evaluations they may or may not have been rounded off for use in tables or figures.
